Timothy J. Donovan MD joined the Mississippi Department of Corrections in 2020 as Ombudsman, he was promoted to Deputy Director of Medical Compliance in 2021. He brings with him 16 years of medical experience since graduating from Ross University School of Medicine, with the last three of those years serving in the correctional environment.
Doctor Donovan graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He graduated Medical School in 2005 and became Board Certified in Family Practice following his residency at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital in Glen Cove New York. He also served as a Deputy Coroner in Vernon Parish Louisiana, with a focus of that work in the mental health arena and substance abuse.
