The central administrative offices of the Mississippi Department of Corrections are located in downtown Jackson in the Robert C. Clark state office building. It is home to the Office of the Commissioner, deputy commissioners, and support staff. The MDOC Central Office relocated to North Lamar Street in 2019 from North State Street. Prior to its North State Street location, the Central Office resided on North President Street.

The Central Office operates Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. except during observed state and federal holidays. Visitors must have a prior scheduled appointment before arrival. Public parking is available along Lamar Street and James Meredith Street. City of Jackson parking fees apply during business hours.
